Strategic Consultant & Implementation Partner

Sena Owereko, M.S., DMC, CTC, CMSC is the Strategic Consultant & Implementation Partner for Graduate Philadelphia. She is a senior strategist, global facilitator, and multilingual professional with over 20 years of combined experience in career services, career development, workforce development, training, program management, higher education administration, advising, and adult learner services. Her experience includes managing delivery and assessment of regional and national client career services and adult learner projects.

 

Ms. Owereko has served as the Director of Client Relations and Career Services for the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL). This role included assisting in administering innovative career programs tailored to adult learner needs. She implemented services designed to assist in identifying viable career paths for incumbent workers, professionals in navigating career transitions, and adult learners in increasing their employability. In this role, Ms. Owereko managed the delivery of career-aligned education advising, conducted corporate advisor training, curated labor market data, and provided insights regarding prior learning assessment to a diverse portfolio of clients nationally including Fortune 100 companies. She also served as a national training for Career and Education Advising and Adult Learner Best Practices

 

Sena served as the International Cooperative Education Coordinator for Drexel University (PA). In this capacity, she supported partner onboarding, cultivated employer partner relationships and developed internship opportunities and cooperative education placements leading to jobs and career advancement for participating students. She provided programmatic support, facilitated career assessment referrals, completed resume reviews, conducted career-focused workshops, and collaborated with professional leads across academic departments and industries.

 

She served in 3 roles at  Saint Joseph’s University (PA) including Director of Admissions (College of Professional & Liberal Studies), Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions, and Associate Director of Multicultural Admissions. She also served as Director of Strategic Initiatives for Peirce College.

 

Ms. Owereko holds both a M.S. in Training & Organizational Development (concentration in Adult Learning) and a B.A. in International Relations from Saint Joseph’s University (PA). Her education and training also includes a Career and Education Advising certificate from CAEL, a certificate in Marketing Strategies for Business Leaders from Cornell University, a certificate in Design Thinking and Innovation from Harvard Business School, as well as a certificate in Board Leadership & Governance from DiverseForce on Boards and the University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Owereko also holds Diversity Management Certification (DMC), Corporate Trainer Certification (CTC), Change Management Specialist Certification (CMSC), and Strategic Organizational Leadership designations from the Management and Strategy Institute.
