Graduate! Philadelphia Comebacker Spotlight
Going back to school can be, well, scary. Especially when you have been out for many years. Victoria Peurifoy, a Graduate! Philadelphia Comebacker shared her encouraging story on why she made the decision to go back to school.
Victoria, like many, is a student of life and enjoys learning. After taking side-by-side classes (or non-credit classes) at Drexel University for some time, her sister asked, “Why don’t you go back to school and get your degree?” Victoria, quickly rebutted that she had been out of school for 25 years and couldn’t go back. But that didn’t stop her sister from persisting and eventually, Victoria began to ask herself the same question.
With the support of her sister, Victoria decided to pursue a degree. Her sister, also a Comebacker, recommended speaking to Graduate! Philadelphia. Victoria called and found out we were hosting a College Fair with our college partners and she decided to attend. While there she spoke with many school reps and felt especially drawn to Peirce College after speaking with the advisor about the programs and what the school had to offer. Victoria felt especially comfortable with Peirce’s advisor and was impressed with the time the advisor spent with her. She applied to Peirce College, was accepted, and is now set to graduate in 2022 with a degree in Organizational Leadership. After graduation, she hopes to enroll in her master’s and wants to teach creative writing,
